  #536114   Jim Hicks

Let me introduce myself.  I am Jim Hicks from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where I live with my wife LeAnn, who is a math teacher for the Sand Springs School District.  I am retired from Williams; in other words, I don’t have a real job, but occasionally work for Linden Targets Sports running 5-stand or make-a-break games and work part time for a funeral director service here in Tulsa which takes me to many locations in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.

We have two grown boys- Kevin, who resides in Broomfield, Colorado, and David who is living in Manhattan, Kansas.  David introduced me to the sport in 2000.  David talked me into going to Claythorne Lodge to see the U.S. Open.  That was all it took!

I would like to be considered as your representative on the SSSCA board of directors, because I feel that I would represent the shooting community well and work to further develop the sport

  #505790    George Durham III

By way of introduction, I am George Durham.  I have been shooting sporting clays for four years and have been involved in shotgun sports since I was twelve years old, working as a trap boy in exchange for trap and skeet targets.  Since then, I have managed a company recreational trap range and hunt club, chased that ever elusive “one more trap target”, hunted upland game, shot an inordinate number of skeet targets, and, as of late, have bitten by the sporting clays bug.

My wife, Linda, and I reside in Arcadia, ten minutes from Silverleaf.  (I would like to claim this was by design, but we purchased the house before I discovered sporting clays.  Better to be lucky than smart!)  We are both employed by Boeing at Tinker AFB where I am a contracts administrator and Linda is an engineer.  Our second “careers” are breeding, exhibiting, competing in hunt tests, and hunting over our Hungarian vizsla pointers.

I hope that you will consider me to represent our shooting community on the SSSCA board of directors.  I am particularly interested in encouraging more small-gauge events and promoting opportunities for our youth to experience the shooting sports.
